The Kia Pop concept car.
Shown on Wednesday: Kia POP concept
What is it? The 118-inch-long three-seater, first introduced at the Paris Motor Show in September, is a mashup of present day (a zero-emissions electric vehicle) and distant future (a world more accepting of oblong windows paired with butterfly doors).
What makes it tick? There’s a 67-horsepower electric motor with a range of 100 miles. Lithium polymer gel batteries allow the POP to recharge in six hours.
How much, how soon? It’s a case study in quirk and what-if.
How’s it look? Seeing the weirdo concepts is half the reason you go to an auto show, and Kia didn’t disappoint by delivering Brobdingnagian automotive dreams in a pint-size package.
