Former Champ Lewis Hamilton has some detailed advice on how Sebastian Vettel should take the time to appreciate becoming the newest World Champ.
Hamilton was also 23 when he won the title to become the youngest ever Champ in 2008, but Vettel took the record in Abu Dhabi on Sunday as he is six months younger.
"In the next few weeks, months, even years, I think you'll be looking back at what you achieved when you won your first World Championship," Hamilton said.
He then warned him to expect a frenzy.
"This guy's going to have a busy few hours, the world's press will be asking questions. There'll be cameras in his face, it won't feel like his time, initially."
Hamilton said it's better to leave the spotlight and find the people you really want to celebrate with.
"Once you get out, have a shower, head out, see the people you've experienced and enjoyed the season with," Hamilton said. "That's when you'll really (think about what) you've achieved."
Vettel said he was touched by Hamilton's reaction at the finish line.
"He gave me his thumbs up. I felt he really appreciated (what I did). I felt a lot of respect. I have known him for a long time, we have been through a lot in Formula 3," Vettel said.
"Now (we) race each other in Formula One. He came to me and said 'Congratulations.' It's good that you can look into somebody's eyes and see they mean it."
