Horner reveals 'artificial' racing concerns

While most have welcomed moveable rear wings into this year's Championship, Christian Horner admits he has a minor concern.

This season will see the introduction of moveable rear wings, which are aimed at increasing a driver's chances of overtaking.

By adjusting the wing, the driver will trim the balance of his car, giving him a straightline advantage over the man in front of him.

However, Horner fears it could lead to "artificial" racing as drivers may wait until the final lap to attack.

But however it plays out, the Red Bull boss believes this year's new regulations, which include the return of KERS, will be a "fascinating challenge."

"For sure it will help with overtaking and hopefully it won't be too artificial in that you'll be waiting until the last lap, wanting to be the car behind," the Red Bull team boss said.

"But I don't think it will have that effect. It will have an effect though, there's a lot more for the driver to do now with KERS and the moveable rear wing together with all the other bits and pieces.

"It's going to be a fascinating challenge for drivers and the engineers, and hopefully will produce some great racing."
