Liuzzi insists he's staying put
Tonio Liuzzi is adamant he wants to see out his contract with Force India after his race seat was linked with Paul di Resta.
The 29-year-old Liuzzi's deal with the Silverstone-based outfit expires at the end of the 2011 season, but rumours are rife that the team want to replace him with Scot Paul di Resta while Nico Hulkenberg will take over as test and reserve driver.
However, the Italian insists he wants to stay put.
"I have nothing to say, at the moment. Since a few months, a lot has been said. My situation is clear: Force India hasn't informed me about any change and for me only the words of the team count," Liuzzi told 422race.com.
"I'm pretty calm, because I have a very clear deal with the team for the 2011 season and if they should decide to take other routes, they know what they are facing."
There have been reports that Force India have offered him a financial settlement, Liuzzi says it's not true.
"I wasn't offered anything, as I said I haven't spoken to Force India about anything like that," he said. "For me and Force India, so far, all is still the same, in the situation that I will be driving for them. Rumours aren't important.
He added: "Formula One doesn't surprise me anymore. You can never be sure, I won't be until the first Grand Prix, on March 13. I'm sure of having a valid contract with them.
"Again, if they should decide to change route in the end, they know what they are facing. I want to race, I waited two years as a third driver, so for sure I want to stay in my seat."
