Samsung Electronics to boost 3D TV line-up
(Reuters) - Samsung Electronics, the world's biggest television maker, said it plans to expand its 3D TV line-up to seven models to offer more affordable sets, as it aims to boost demand for the new technology which has disappointed electronics companies with weak sales so far.
Samsung and other top TV makers such as LG Electronics Inc and Sony are betting aggressively on 3D and connected TV as intensifying price competition in the flat-panel TV market erodes profitability of their TV business.
