Mikko Hirvonen won Sunday’s second consecutive victory in the Rally of Sweden after he won with some emotions in front of the surprising Mads Ostberg, the pilot of the Stobart Ford. In a step unquestionably dominated by the pilots who have competed with the Ford Fiesta RS WRC podium was completed by Jari Matti Latvala, the second pilot of the Ford team. Meanwhile, traditional rivals from Citroen failed to keep pace and managed only a fourth place by Sebastien Ogier, while seven times world champion Sebastien Loeb took only sixth place, mainly because he went first on all the special stages on Friday:

Petter Solberg finished the stage in fifth place, not before being forced to give up driving the last special test after being caught exceeding the legal maximum speed on the road connecting the PS 21 and PS 22. In his place went Chris Patterson, his co-driver:
