PRIME MINISTER THANKS THAI FOR DONATION AND TRANSPORTATION OF RELIEF GOODS FOR JAPAN DISASTER VICTIMS


Thai Airways International Public Company Limited recently transported donated goods to assist earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan.

H.E. Abhisit Vejjajiva, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, (second from left), received the donation of relief goods from THAI President, Mr Piyasvasti Amranand, (second from right), at the Parliament House recently.

Since the disaster took place, THAI has cooperated with the government in transporting relief goods donated by the public, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to Japan on THAI cargo to assist earthquake and tsunami victims.

Seven tons of relief goods received on that day was transported on THAI flight TG640 to Tokyo. The relief goods included 5,000 THAI blankets (about 1.6 tons), THAI Euarng Luang drinking water (4.8 tons), 90 boxes of blankets and 400 flashlights (altogether about 1 ton).
