Spanish GT – the season gets underway in Valencia
Maranello, 17 April – A positive outcome for Ferrari, with a second and third place in the SGT class in Race 1 and a clean sweep of the top three places in Race 2 in the opening round of the 13th running of the Spanish GT Championship. The first round of the year took place at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo circuit and in the fifty minutes of Race 1 this morning, the F430 GT2 of Brain Lavio and Alan Sicart (RSV Motorsport) crossed the line second in class right behind the Drivex School Porsche and ahead of the Ferrari driven by Alvaro Fontes and Jesus Diez Villarroel (Jesus Diez Villarroel.) In the second leg, the podium was an all-Ferrari affair thanks to a win for Celso Miguez and Hugo Godinho (Aurora Energy D) who won the event outright, followed by the duo of Alvaro Fontes and Jesus Diez Villarroel (Jesus Diez Villarroel) and Brain Lavio and Alan Sicart, also in F430 GT2 cars.
The Spanish series will be back in action for round 2 over the weekend of 29 May at the Jarama circuit.
GT Spagna- la stagione prende il via a Valencia
Maranello, 17 aprile — Bilancio positivo per la Ferrari che ha concluso con un secondo ed un terzo posto in classe SGT conquistati in Gara 1 ed una tripletta assoluta in Gara 2, l’appuntamento inaugurale della tredicesima edizione del campionato GT spagnolo, al suo esordio presso il Circuito Ricardo Tormo di Valencia. Nei cinquanta minuti di Gara 1, disputati questa mattina, la F430 GT2 condotta da Brain Lavio e Alan Sicart (RSV Motorsport) ha tagliato seconda il traguardo di categoria subito dietro alla Porsche di Drivex School e davanti alla Ferrari di Alvaro Fontes e Jesus Diez Villarroel (Jesus Diez Villarroel) mentre nella seconda manche il podio è stato all’insegna dei colori della Ferrari grazie al successo di Celso Miguez e Hugo Godinho (Aurora Energy D.) vincitori assoluti della prova, seguiti dal duo Alvaro Fontes- Jesus Diez Villarroel (Jesus Diez Villaroel) e da Brain Lavio e Alan Sicart, rispettivamente secondi e terzi al traguardo sempre al volante della F430 GT2.
La serie spagnola sarà di nuovo in scena per la seconda prova in calendario nel fine settimana del 29 maggio sul circuito di Jarama.
