(Reuters) - Zynga, the online game company behind "FarmVille" and "Mafia Wars," said on Monday Jeffrey Katzenberg, chief executive of DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc has joined its board.
Katzenberg joins LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman and Zynga CEO Mark Pincus and Chief Operating Officer Owen Van Natta on a board of six members. Others include venture capital investors Bing Gordon of Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Buyers and Brad Feld, managing director of Foundry Group.
Privately held Zynga has attracted interest from investors eager to get a piece of a company they consider nearly as hot as online social networks Twitter and Facebook.
