McLaren will launch in 2012 the Spyder version of the MP4-12C supercar. This will have the same V8 twin-turbo 3.8-liter that develops 600 hp and 600 Nm.
British manufacturer McLaren want at any cost to steal the success enjoyed by Ferrari 458 Italia, which is why they will launch in 2012, a convertible version for the MP4-12C supercar. McLaren MP4-12C Spyder will have a retractable hard top roof and will have the same characteristics as the model of origin: McLaren MP4-12C.
Under the hood of McLaren MP4-12C Spyder we find a 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo engine centrally located and mounted longitudinal. It is capable of delivering 600 horsepower at 7000 rpm and can develop a torque of 600 Nm between 3000 and 7000 rpm.
The engine power will be transmitted to the wheels via automatic gearbox with seven reports GSS (Seamless Shift Gearbox). Regarding the performance of McLaren MP4-12C Spyder, it will sprint from 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in about 3.3 seconds and top speed is 330 km/h (205 mph).
