European GP - Traffic clouds the picture
Valencia, 25 June – Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa took their Ferraris to second and third places on the time sheet in the final hour of free practice for the European Grand Prix, race eight in the championship. Ahead of the two 150º Italias, setting the quickest time round the street circuit located in the port of Valencia was the Red Bull of Sebastian Vettel in 1.37.258. Fernando’s best time was a 1.37.678 out of 16 laps, while Felipe did a 1.37.840 and drove 17 laps.
It was a good session for the team, spent mainly comparing different front wings, a tri-plane for Fernando and a biplane for Felipe and the two tyre compounds, Medium and Soft. Traffic during the session means it is difficult to draw any accurate conclusions regarding performance levels.
