GP2 – Bianchi ninth in qualifying
Valencia, 24 June – Alongside the European Grand Prix, the Valencia circuit is also hosting the fourth round of the GP2 series and tomorrow’s first race will see Jules Bianchi line up on the fifth row of the grid in his Lotus ART car. Having been quickest in free practice this morning, the youngster who is on the books in Maranello at the Ferrari Driver Academy, ended qualifying in ninth place in a time of 1.47.337. Starting from pole will be another Frenchman, Jules Pic, at the wheel of a Barwa Addax Team car (1.46.675.) Alongside him will be team-mate Giedo Van der Garde (1.46.727) with Romain Grosjean in third spot for DAMS (1.46.771.) The first race gets underway at 15.40 tomorrow, with the second and final one taking place on Sunday at 10.35.
