GP2 – Bianchi’s great climb up the field

Valencia, 26 June – Jules Bianchi produced a noteworthy performance in this Sunday’s second race run at the Valencia street circuit, for the fourth round of the GP2 series. Having started way down the back of the grid in 24th place, the Ferrari Driver Academy youngster carved his way up the order in his Lotus ART car to finish in seventh place, just one short of the points zone. Victory went to his team-mate, Esteban Gutierrez, from Luiz Razia (Caterham Team Air Asia) and Giedo Van der Garde (Barwa Addax Team.)

The next round of the series takes place in a fortnight at the Silverstone circuit in England, on the same card as the British Grand Prix, the ninth round of the Formula 1 World Championship.
