Ferrari dominates GT Sprint qualifying at Misano
Misano Adriatico (Rimini,) 9 July – Along with the Italian series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, the Misano circuit is also hosting the fourth round of the GT Sprint series. Today there was a 30 minute qualifying session to decide the grid for Race 1. Pole position went to Giuseppe Ciro who, at the wheel of the AF Corse F430 GTC, set the best time of the day in 1.37.088, ahead of Matteo Cressoni’s Ferrari (1.37.093) and that of Michael Dalle Stelle (1.30.090) both run by the Racing Team Edil Cris. First in the GTS3 class and third overall in 1.37.544, was the AF Corse 458 Italia GT3 of Niki Cadei. Next up was Massimo Mantovani (Kessel Racing) in 1.39.253, followed by the Corvette of Del Castello (1.39.335.) There are two races tomorrow, each lasting 25 minutes plus one lap at 9.25 and then 14.25.
