Former Ferrari technical director Aldo Costa has left the team completely, the Italian carmaker has confirmed.
In May, Ferrari said the Italian had "relinquished" his role as the Maranello based F1 team's technical director "to take on new responsibilities within the company". But reports on Wednesday revealed that Costa has left Ferrari altogether but will remain at under 'gardening leave' until the end of the season.
Costa was replaced by Pat Fry and was the second big name at to step down from a high-profile position in the last 12 months after Chris Dyer was also moved elsewhere in the company following last season's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
