Ferrari sets new record at auction

Pebble Beach, 20 August - A new world record for a car sold at public auction was achieved this weekend when the first ever Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, built in 1957, went under the hammer during the Monterey weekend for $16.4 million.

The car, chassis number 0666 TR, took part in many of the most important endurance races in period and is one of only two of this model to have received Ferrari Classiche certification.

  1. Wow!!... and here I'd settle for a 430 Scud:-) for about 1/80 that investment cost. I wonder what a classic Mustang, Vette, Lambo, Austin, RR, etc went for? Cheers to all form gorgeous Vancouver, BC!!
