August 27 2011

Jaime Alguersuari finished in P3the third free practice of the Belgian Grand Prix with a fastest time of 2'09.931. With the help of the adverse weather conditions, with heavy rain for almost the entire session, the Spaniard achieved here his best ever result in a free practice.

The FP3 started under the strongest shower of the weekend, which left the track without activity -beyond the installation laps-, for nearly twenty minutes. 35 minutes before the checkered flag, Alguersuari was the first to start a run on a set of wet tires, which allowed him to set a first best lap of 2'13.357.

As the track conditions improved minutes later, the Toro Rosso driver switched to the intermediates and lowered his benchmark to 2'09 .931, which pushed him up in the standings to thew third place, his best ever position in a free practice.

The qualifying session starts a 2 PM (CET)
