ALMS – New Baltimore circuit hosts the 458

Maranello, 1 September – Two weeks on from the first win of the season for the 458 Italia, the Ferraris now prepare to tackle the seventh round of the American Le Mans Series, for the first ever Baltimore Grand Prix, in Maryland. The event is being staged at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, a new circuit built on what was once the American city’s railway station. Also on the card this weekend, the IZOD Indy Car Series: the ALMS competitors are split as usual into four categories, LMP1, LMP2, GT and GTC and on Saturday 3 September they tackle a two hour sprint race starting at 16.30. The result is hard to predict on what is a brand new circuit, with just two hours of qualifying to prepare prior to the start.
