Singapore GP - Alonso fourth and Massa eighth in final free practice
Singapore, 24 September – Mark Webber was fastest at the end of the third and final free practice session for the Singapore Grand Prix, the fourteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship, taking place at the Marina Bay street circuit. Overnight, further modifications have been made to the track, as requested by race officials. The Aussie Red Bull driver lapped in 1.46.081, to finish ahead of Jenson Button (1.46.108) in the McLaren and the other Red Bull of Sebastian Vettel (1.46.345. Fastest Ferrari on the time sheet was that of Fernando Alonso, fourth in 1.46.396, while in the other 150º Italia, Felipe Massa was eighth in 1.48.711. Both Ferrari men ran the same programme, aimed at evaluating different set-ups for qualifying, which gets underway at 22.00. Each driver used one set of Soft tyres and one of SuperSoft.
