Ferrari Challenge North America – First semi-final at Homestead
Maranello, 25 September – After a two month summer break, the North American Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli got underway again at Florida’s Homestead circuit, for the sixth and penultimate round of the season, prior to the World Finals at Mugello on 6 November. Friday was given over entirely to free practice, prior to the 23 cars tackling qualifying and the first race. Winner in the 458 Challenge category was Emmanuel Anassis, driving the Ferrari of Quebec car, followed across the line by series leader, Enzo Potolicchio of Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale and Ferrari of Houston’s Mark McKenzie. The winner among the gentleman drivers competing with the F430 Challenge was Christopher Ruud, who took the chequered flag in the Ferrari of Silicon Valley car ahead of the two Ferrari of Ontario entries, driven by Ryan and Damon Ockey.
