Diary
The first day in Singapore was first and foremost very hot. I always feel like I'm wearing my skiing gear on the hottest day of the summer, but that's just something we have to get used to with time. Despite the heat we actually had a good first day on the track, which was in a very good condition. The car didn't make any problems and I felt really comfortable in it.
I guess the biggest difference to other tracks is that the road in Singapore is still a bit bumpy, but I'm pretty sure that this will pass in the next hours and days. The important task of today was to get the right feeling for the track and we were able to accomplish that.
Of course our day isn't over yet and I'll head to the meeting with the team very soon. Luckily the meeting is in an air-conditioned room in the pit – otherwise we would melt away.

Tagebuch
Servus! Der erste Tag in Singapur war vor allem sehr heiß. Ich komme mir immer ein bisschen wie in Ski-Wäsche vor, zumindest fühle ich mich so. Trotz der Hitze war der Freitag aber trotzdem sehr zufriedenstellend. Die Strecke war in einem ziemlich guten Zustand und ich hab mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Auto war zuverlässlich und hat keine Probleme gemacht, was uns schon mal sehr zuversichtlich stimmt.
Ein Unterschied zu anderen Strecken ist vielleicht, dass es hier noch etwas holprig ist, aber ich bin mir sicher, dass sich das in den nächsten Stunden und Tagen noch legen wird. Wichtig für heute war einfach, dass wir ein Gefühl bekommen konnten und das ist uns gelungen.
Zum Schluss werden wir uns sicher noch mal alle zusammensetzen und den Tag Revue passieren lassen, aber zum Glück in der klimatisierten Garage. Für morgen müssen wir einfach bestmöglich vorbereitet sein.
