Ferrari World Abu Dhabi Gears Up for Speed Week

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (26 Oct 2011): Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is preparing for 10 days of high octane fun to coincide with Eid Al Adha and November festivities in Abu Dhabi.

Speed Week will run every day from 4 to 14 November, including Mondays when the park is normally closed, bringing together a range of exciting shows, live music, roaming entertainers, creative activities and prizes at the world’s only Ferrari-branded theme park.

Visitors will be able to interact with roaming artists, balloon sculptors and magicians, win Ferrari prizes and pose for caricatures and photos seated in a Ferrari. Sand sculptors will work live to create a giant sand Ferrari F1™ car, with visitors able to add their own creative touch to the sculpture. A kid’s craft zone will offer the Park’s youngest visitors other ways to get creative, such as creating their own puppets, while free runners, stilt walkers, mimes and dancers kitted out in Ferrari apparel will add to the festive buzz all through Speed Week. Visitors will also meet and interact with a new Ferrari World Abu Dhabi surprise character during Speed Week.

In addition to daily performances of the La Gara show – which charts an F1™ race from start to finish in a 30-minute extravaganza complete with gymnasts, dancers, stunt skippers, skaters and acrobats – a live party band at The Pitwall and multiple shows running on the La Piazza stage are set to keep the crowd enthralled in between rides.

“Our guests will love the added live entertainment and the party atmosphere in the park,” said Andy Keeling, Park Manager of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. “Racing fans will also be able to join in the on-track excitement and catch all the Grand Prix action broadcast live on screens throughout the Park.”

Visitors looking to maximise the experience can bag a 40% discount on regular admission fees with the special Speed Week Package, offering a two-day General Admission pass for AED 299 and a two-day Premium Admission pass for AED 599.

The Park will maintain longer opening hours during Speed Week, operating from 11 AM to 11 PM all through the event.

With state-of-the-art multi-sensory attractions such as Driving with the Champion and Speed of Magic, truly spine-tingling rides such as G-Force and Formula Rossa, toddler-friendly entertainment attractions such as the Junior Training Camp, shopping opportunities at signature Ferrari boutiques and dining at our hearty Italian restaurants such as Mamma Rossella, where the whole family can converge over a freshly baked pizza, it isn’t hard to see why Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is the region’s premier family destination.

With 20 exciting Ferrari-themed rides and attractions brought together in one spectacularly-designed air-conditioned space, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi offers something for every member of the family and Speed Week is set to boost the Park’s entertainment appeal even further.
