Ferrari enjoys a hot time in Florence
Florence, 30 October – A beautiful sunny day, somewhat unexpected given it is the end of October, the autumnal colours over the Cascine, Florence’s park transformed into a circuit for the day, these were the ingredients that provided the backdrop for a Ferrari demonstration, which took place at midday, right in the heart of the city, watched by a crowd of ten thousand. The Florentines gave the Ferrari parade a very warm welcome, as it ended with a run by an F10, the car that took part in the 2010 Formula 1 World Championship, driven by Giancarlo Fisichella. Also bringing the parade to life, was an AF Corse 458 Italia GT2, in the hands of Gimmi Bruni who, partnered with Fisichella took the title in the prestigious and competitive Le Mans Series, while the Maranello marque’s test driver, Maurizio Mediani was at the wheel of a 599XX. Fisichella spent a long time with the fans, who wanted autographs and photos taken on the inside of the two kilometre track which hosted this truly unique occasion. “I did not expect to see so many people and to be greeted so warmly,” commented Fisichella. “Once again the appeal of Ferrari has made this a very special day. Next weekend I will be at Mugello to celebrate the Finali Mondiali with all our fans and it is bound to be an equally exciting spectacle.”
