Ferrari on top in the Rome 6 Hours
Maranello, 20 November – The twenty first running of the Rome 6 Hours ended with a win for the AF Corse 458 Italia GT2 crewed by Piergiuseppe Perazzini, Marco Cioci and Gianmaria Bruni. Thanks the victory, Perazzini and Cioci take the title in the Endurance Champions Cup, yet another trophy for the team run by Amato Ferrari, to add to those from the Le Mans Series, the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup and the FIA GT3. Having started from pole at the Vallelunga circuit, the duo who had added the experienced Bruni to their line-up for the occasion led from start to finish. There were other good results for the Maranello marque in the traditional season finale. Seven Ferraris finished near the top of the results sheet, proving how competitive and reliable they are.Second overall and first in class went to the AF Corse 458 Italia GT3 driven by Giancarlo Fisichella, Vittorio Ghirelli and Lorenze Case. Throughout the six hours, this was the only car able to match the race pace of the leading GT2 car, giving the team from Piacenza a one-two finish in the event. Another Ferrari completed the podium trio, this time the Edil Cris car in the hands of Alessandro Garofano, Luca Rangoni and Raffaele Gianmaria, who crossed the line ahead of the 458 GT2 entered by Kessel Racing, fourth overall with Kola Aluko and Thomas Kemenater. Second in GT3 and fifth overall was another AF Corse 458 Italia, driven by Ferdinando Geri, Filippo Francioni and Thomas Biagi. Also turning in a fine performance were Ronnie Kessel, Stephan Earle and Michael Broniszewski in a 458 GT3, sixth overall and first in the Blancpain category. Finally, the fourth 458 run by AF Corse and driven by Jack Gerber, Matt Griffin and Niki Cadei, was seventh overall and fourth in the GT3 class.
Dominio Ferrari alla Sei Ore di Roma
Maranello, 20 novembre- La ventunesima edizione della Sei Ore di Roma si è conclusa con la vittoria della 458 Italia GT2 di AF Corse affidata all’equipaggio composto da Piergiuseppe Perazzini, Marco Cioci e Gianmaria Bruni. Con questo successo, Perazzini e Cioci conquistano così il titolo dell’Endurance Champions Cup, consegnando al team di Amato Ferrari un altro trofeo dopo i prestigiosi successi nei campionati Le Mans Series, Intercontinental Le Mans Cup e Fia GT3. Scattato dalla pole position, l’equipaggio, che per l’appuntamento romano si era avvalso dell’esperienza di Bruni, ha dominato mantenendo la testa della gara per tutta la durata della prova. Questo risultato non è stato tuttavia il solo che le vetture della Casa di Maranello hanno colto nell’appuntamento, divenuto ormai un classico di fine stagione. Sono ben sette le Ferrari che hanno chiuso nelle posizioni di vertice della classifica, dando prova di prestazioni record e di estrema affidabilità.Il secondo gradino del podio ed il primo di classe è andato alla 458 Italia GT3 di AF Corse guidata da Giancarlo Fisichella, Vittorio Ghirelli e Lorenzo Casè. Durante la sei ore, questa vettura è stata l’unica in grado di avvicinarsi al ritmo di gara della GT2 di testa, consentendo alla Scuderia piacentina di mettere a segno una doppietta sul podio assoluto della Sei Ore Capitolina. A completare il podio, un’altra Ferrari, questa volta schierata dal team Edil Cris ed affidata ad Alessandro Garofano, Luca Rangoni e Raffaele Gianmaria, che ha preceduto sul traguardo la 458 GT2 di Kessel Racing, quarta assoluta con Kola Aluko e Thomas Kemenater. Al secondo posto di classe GT3 e al quinto assoluto c’è un’altra 458 Italia di AF Corse, guidata da Ferdinando Geri, Filippo Francioni e Thomas Biagi. Anche per loro, prestazione estremamente positiva nella competitiva sei ore, eguagliata da quella colta dalla 458 GT3 dell’equipaggio di Ronnie Kessel, Stephan Earle e Michael Broniszewski, sesta assoluta e prima nella categoria Blancpain. A chiudere questo risultato all’insegna dei colori Ferrari la quarta 458 di AF Corse affidata a Jack Gerber, Matt Griffin e Niki Cadei, che ha tagliato il traguardo settima assoluta e quarta di classe GT3.
