Hermann Tilke insists that the construction of the Circuit of the Americas track in Texas is still on schedule despite recent doubts about the 2012 race.
The circuit, which was designed by Tilke and is situated in Austin, is due to host Formula One's return to the United States November next year.
However, F1 commercial rights holder Bernie Ecclestone informed team bosses during the Indian GP that there was "disagreement inside the company" that was organising the race.
Ecclestone refused to state in absolute terms whether or not the race would take place, but Tilke is confident that there will be no problems as far as preparing the venue is concerned.
"We are working on it. There are a couple of hundred workers on the site, a lot of machines, and everything is on schedule up to now," he told Autosport.
As for the design of the circuit, he added: "It is a pure road track, a street circuit,. We will have to take what is there, but it will be really fantastic."
