Kimi Raikkonen: In talks with Williams over 2012 drive

Williams shareholder Toto Wolff has admitted that the team are in negotiations with former world champion Kimi Raikkonen.

Speculation has been rife that the Finn could make a return to Formula One with the Grove-based squad in 2012, but Williams have so far kept quiet over the reports.

But Wolff has broken the silence, saying that contact has been made and the negotiations are not just a publicity stunt.

"Yes, it's true," Wolff told Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung.

"The story is not for show, we are negotiating seriously, but he is only one of several options. There will be a strategic decision."

But Wolff also says Williams are looking at other options, with Ferreri protege Jules Bianchi also being looked at along with current Williams reserve driver Valtteri Bottas.

He added: "But there is another aggressive option with the boy Jules Bianchi, and Valtteri Bottas is worthy of consideration at least for Friday's practice."

In addition to Raikkonen, Williams are also thought to have held talks with Force India driver Adrian Sutil as an alternative, while current driver Pastor Maldonado remains the top candidate for the second seat.
