The competition will be done on some smooth and well paved racing routes with some slight slopes along Bangkok’s well-known roads, such as, Phra Pinklao Bridge, Thonburi-Nakhon Chaisi Road, Rama VIII Bridge, etc.
The types of competition are divided as follows:
1. Wheelchair marathon (42.195 km). The competition is open for everyone, no age/sex limit. H.M. King Bhumibol’s trophy will be awarded to the winners ranging 1-5.
2. Marathon (42.195 km) Competing is aimed to win the trophy of H.M. the King. Blazers will also be given to all of the 1-5 winners.
3. Mini-marathon (10.5 km)
4. Walk and Run for Good Health (5 km)
All of the candidates who complete the entire distance will be awarded with a medal and T-shirt.
The Bangkok Marathon is equivalent to that of an international standard. This competition is certified by the Association of International Marathons as well as Amateur Athletic Association of Thailand. In case of identifying candidates’ age, the necessary documents must be ready to be declared after the competition.
