Details: On Saturday 20th November, KIS International School will be welcoming approximately four hundred international school teachers from a range of Bangkok, Rayong and Pattaya’s international schools to its centrally located Bangkok campus. The conference will be focused on facilitating the sharing of ideas and strategies between educators and will include teachers, librarians, teaching assistants and school counselors, in order to both inspire and encourage improved teaching practices, irrespective of the curriculum that schools are following. Specific areas of focus will include Early Years, Primary, Secondary, Information Technology, the Arts, Science, Math, Languages, Thai, Learning Support, English as an Additional Language and Physical Education.
The conference will feature Dr. Art-ong Jumsai Na Ayudhya, as a keynote speaker. Dr. Jumsai is the current Director of the Institute of Sathya Sai Education, Thailand and also the Official Trainer of Teachers for the Ministry of Education in Human Values Education. Highlights of his career include being awarded Best Book of the Year “Path to Peace” for children aged 12 to 18 years in 2007. He is considered an expert in the National Research Council on rockets for use in the Artificial Rain Making Project. In addition he participated in NASA's Viking Space Project in the design of the automatic landing device.
In addition to attending peer-run workshops and job-alike sessions, educators will have the very valuable opportunity to network and build relationships with educators from other schools, meet suppliers of educational products and generally broaden their professional networks.
