BMW motorsport director Mario Theissen believes it's only a matter of time before Sebastian Vettel adds a second and even a third World title to his tally.

Theissen gave Vettel is break into Formula One, signing the German as BMW's test driver for the 2006 season.

He also brought Vettel in to replace the injured Robert Kubica at the 2007 United States GP, a race which saw Vettel claim the record for the youngest points-scorer in Formula One.

And although he's no longer involved in Formula One, Theissen is still keeping a close eye on the sport and was impressed with Vettel's end of season run, which landed him the 2010 Drivers' Championship title.

"He did a fantastic job - especially in the final four races when the pressure was mounting," he told Autosport.

"When it didn't go his way, he kept his cool. Among the four or five title contenders, the youngest one was the one who didn't make any mistakes anymore. That was really, really good.

"He is a top driver, one of the top drivers in Formula 1 already at 23. If it all goes well, he has another 15 years in Formula 1, so there are quite some Championships he can win if the car is right."
