War of words in the Red Bull camp?

In a subtle war of words, the Red Bull team seem to be falling apart under the pressure of having two drivers fighting for the title.

As the Milton Keynes based outfit have made it clear they won't back either driver, despite Webber's superior position, Webber has come clean and claimed the teams emotional support is behind Sebastian Vettel.

When he was pressed on the matter, Webber responded: "It's obvious isn't it?" In regards to where the teams support lies.

"Of course when young, new chargers come onto the block, that's where the emotion is. That's the way it is.

"Which is absolutely fine, because I've had a great opportunity and a great car to go and do some great things this year, and I have done that.

"I've got favourites in life. I've got people I like to be with. That's how it is. It's human nature."

However, upon hearing what the Australian had said, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner claimed the team would be 'hurt' if such comments were in fact true.

"I think the members of the team would be greatly hurt to see that Mark has said that, if he has said that, and I can only think it's been taken out of context," Horner is quoted as saying by Autosport.

"He has a great deal of support within the team, within Austria and with Dietrich Mateschitz, who has ultimately provided the opportunity that is there now," added Horner.

Meanwhile, Vettel was quoted by the German media as saying: "If Webber needs help, he should take the medical car."

Is this the beginning of the end for the German-Australian partnership at Red Bull?
