McLaren to exhibit historic cars at Bahrain Grand Prix
There’s no doubt McLaren will be fully focused on getting the best out of their new car at March’s season-opener in Bahrain, but the British team also plan to tip their hats to their past achievements, courtesy of a spectacular exhibition of their finest racing machinery.
The McLaren Museum will be located in the Sakhir circuit’s Formula One Village during the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend. Featuring around 20 of the team’s greatest cars, including some dating back to the 1960s, the exhibition will be a must-see for any Formula One fan attending the race.
The Bahrain International Circuit has hosted a variety of unique events over the last few years to compliment the on-track action. Last season organisers invited all the living world champions, and their title-winning race cars, whilst in 2009 a rare collection of vintage Formula One cars dating back over 70 years was put on public display for the first time.
The Bahrain Grand Prix will take place from March 11-13.
