Vijay Mallya is planning to name Force India's driver line-up for 2011 "in the next few days".
The team has been stalling on an announcement for months, with Adrian Sutil, Tonio Liuzzi and Paul di Resta all vying for the two drives. The only driver contracted for 2011 is Liuzzi, but several reports suggest di Resta and Sutil are the favourites to secure the places, which, alongside the second HRT seat, are the only ones left in F1 for the upcoming season. If Force India did run the latter two it would have to either buy Liuzzi out of his contract or prove that it had the legal right to break it.
Ex-Williams driver Nico Hulkenberg has been linked to a third driver role involving Friday morning practice sessions, but his manager Willi Weber admitted this week that before "anything is said officially, I can't say anything myself."
In an interview with the BBC, Mallya said his team was almost ready to reveal its decision.
"There are some legal loose ends to be tied up," he said, before adding that the line-up should be named "in the next few days".
