Lotus will launch its 2011 car online on January 31, before it takes to the track for the first time at the Valencia test later that week.

The first photos of the TL11 will be published next Monday at 05:00 (GMT) in the Team Lotus Notes magazine, which fans will be able to access at www.teamlotus.com.

The car itself will be in Valencia that week, but will not hit the track until the second day of testing on February 2. In a press release Lotus revealed that it has decided to "take advantage of the 2011 rules and not run on Tuesday February 1, replacing that date with a private test day and on-track filming on Friday February 4."

As a result the Lotus will be the second 2011 car to be launched, after Ferrari, but before Sauber and Renault, which will take the wraps off their cars in Valencia on January 31.
