Virgin reveal new car launch date

Virgin Racing will have their new challenger on track in time for the second pre-season test at Jerez.

The team, backed by Marussua, announced on Friday that they would take the covers off their 2011 car on 7 February.

The MVR-02, which will be in the hands of Timo Glock and Jerome d'Ambrosio, will be unveiled in London.

Virgin's announcement means the team will be one of just four to use last year's car in the opening test in Valencia.

McLaren, Force India and Hispania Racing have also opted not to debut their 2011 cars in the February 1st to 3rd test.
