Poole-based cosmetics firm Lush has website hacked
The affected version of the Lush website has been "retired"
Cosmetics retailer Lush, based in Poole, Dorset, has suspended online sales after being targeted by hackers.
It asked anyone who placed an online order between 4 October and 20 January to contact their bank in case their card details had been compromised.
Security monitoring showed there was still "continuing attempts" to re-enter its website.
The retailer plans to launch a temporary website initially accepting PayPal payments only.
In a tongue-in-cheek message to the hackers, the company complimented their "formidable" technical skills.
"We would like to offer you a job - were it not for the fact that your morals are clearly not compatible with ours or our customers," it added.
