Draw conducted for PTT Pattaya Tennis Open
A press conference was held on Sunday to announce the draw for the PTT Pattaya Open, a WTA Tour professional women’s tennis tournament, which is celebrating its 20th year at the Dusit Thani Hotel in north Pattaya. The 2011 PTT Pattaya Open carries prize money of US$220,000 (about one million baht) and will take place from the 6th to 13th of February. This year there are 50 competitors with Russian Vera Zvonareva as the number one seed ahead of Serbian Ana Ivanovic and Russian Maria Kirilenko. Advance ticket sales for the tournament have been strong, and only a limited numbers of seats are still available.
