artists @ Phuket Hilton Arcadia February 25+26, 2011:
Curtis Salgado who inspired and mentored John Belushi - had it not been for Curtis, The Blues Brothers movie might never have been...the role played by Cab Calloway as mentor to the brothers is dedicated to and named Curtis Salgado. Check it out next time you watch the movie. Do not miss the man who won the 2010 Male Performer of the Year award in at the Blues Foundation's annual awards (the Grammys of the blues industry) in Memphis.

Mason Ruffner: All-American rock legend - Top Ten hit in 1987 - Gypsy Blood - featured in the 1989 movie Steel Magnolias with Julia Roberts and Shirley MacLaine. Toured with Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr (The All-Starr Band in the 80s), Santana and a bunch other big names.

Disraeli Gears - Rich Harper's alter ego band - will give us an hour of Cream nostalgia. Point of interest: During Rich Harper's performance at the Festival in 2008 an elderly (60+) British gentleman approached us and asked if we were familiar with the term "Clapton is God" -? We said -Yes, they said that in London in the 60s about Eric. The man then pointed to the stage and said "Never mind Clapton, this guy is God!"

The New Machine Plays Pink Floyd - self explanatory and very well performed.

John Meyer - Western Australia's top rated guitarist in the genre - played the Festival in 2009 with KNiKi, returning this year with his own hot band.

The Prodigal Sons - The crazy Norwegians rockers return with their heavily Rolling Stones influenced show.

AkashA - stay late Friday and you will have a multi-cultural musical experience of a life time.

Torgny Sandgren - strong up and coming young Swedish blues band.

Jim Paxton & Stuart Bush - if you're old enough you remember the Paxton Brothers from San Francisco in the 60s and 70s, and together with guitar virtuoso Stu from Australia, these two are a formidable acoustic duo.

Last, but certainly not least: Phuket All-Star Blues Band - The finest in Phuket based blues bands and the same in guitar players. If there is anyone that measure up to Colin Hill, Rob Davies, George Cordeiro and Pattrick Chua out there, please come forward!
