TAI LUE HERITAGE FESTIVAL AND FAIR

A Celebration of Tai Lue Culture and Eastern Lanna Civilization
February 12 - 14, 2011
Pua sub-district of Nan province

The town of Nan in Northern Thailand has had remarkable success in being able to carefully preserve most aspects of its cultural heritage through the centuries. This is reflected in the many ancient sites, the art and architecture, traditional homes, local customs and traditions, as well as the indigenous way of life of the various tribal communities found in the province. In spite of the march of progress with the passage of time, the old and the new co-exist in perfect harmony.

To celebrate its magnificent heritage and showcase the many treasures of ancient Eastern Lanna civilization, Nan will be hosting the 2011 Chompoo Phu Kha Tai Lue Heritage Festival and Fair at the Pua District Office, February 12 – 14. The highlights include Tai Lue cultural presentations and performances, a light-and-sound performance, and sales of local products.
