FDA – Marciello and Maisano try out the new tarmac at Mugello
Maranello, March 22 – Ferrari Driver Academy drivers Raffaele Marciello and Brandon Maisano today took part in an Italian F3 test day at Mugello’s Autodromo Internazionale. The session took place in preparation for the 2011 season that will begin at the circuit on the weekend of May 15.
At the end of the session Ferrari Driver Academy chief Luca Baldiserri said: “This test offered our two young drivers the chance to practise on a circuit that has recently been resurfaced and had all its imperfections removed. The work that has been carried out confirms this track is something really special. The consistency of the surface encourages better driving performance and surprising gains on the stopwatch.”
The Ferrari Driver Academy will return to Mugello at the beginning of April for the second of the year’s five planned training sessions.

Maranello, 22 marzo – Si è svolta oggi, presso l'Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, una giornata di prove riservata ai protagonisti della Formula 3 Italia a cui hanno preso parte i due piloti della Ferrari Driver Academy, Raffaele Marciello e Brandon Maisano, in preparazione alla stagione agonistica 2011 che prenderà il via nel fine settimana del 15 maggio, sul circuito di Franciacorta.
“Questo test ha offerto ai nostri due giovani piloti l’opportunità di mettersi alla prova su un circuito recentemente riasfaltato e privo di imperfezioni”- ha commentato il responsabile della Ferrari Driver Academy Luca Baldisserri, al termine della sessione: "Il lavoro svolto esalta ulteriormente un tracciato davvero speciale e l'uniformità ottenuta favorisce migliori prestazioni di guida e sorprendenti riscontri cronometrici".
La Ferrari Driver Academy tornerà nuovamente al Mugello all’inizio di aprile per il secondo dei cinque stage in programma quest’anno.
