Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has refused to criticise the new Pirelli tyres, calling them "interesting".
Drivers were quick to voice their discontent with the rate of degradation, although higher temperatures at the last test in Barcelona went some way to easing the concerns. And Domenicali says whatever the tyres' performance; it's the same for everyone.
"If the tyres have a different degradation, it is because it is a different product, so you must react," he told Sky Italia. "Who has known how to react better at first will have a competitive advantage. This is a logic that applies to everyone from the drivers to engineers."
Domenicali also said that he has warned the Ferrari team that it is "useless" to complain or create excuses, and that the only response is "to work, to develop, to improve".
