Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli – North America. Potolicchio and Hinestrosa triumph in Race 2
Montreal, 12 June – A second race today at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit brought the curtain down on the third round of the North American Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, which ran alongside the seventh round of the Formula 1 World Championship. The F430 Challenge and the 458 Challenge cars of the Ferrari one-make series took to the Canadian track to take part in their final race of the weekend and in the grid for the new 458 Challenge, Enzo Potolicchio (Ferrari of Ford Lauderdale) made it two in a row, winning as he had done in Race 1, crossing the line ahead of Cooper MacNeil (Ferrari of Houston) and Harry Cheung (Ferrari of Silicon Valley.) Of the gentleman drivers at the wheel of the F430 Challenge, the win went to Juan Hinestrosa (Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale,) ahead of Ryan Ockey (Ferrari of Ontario) and Christopher Ruud (Ferrari of Silicon Valley.)
Competitors in the Stars and Stripes series will be back in action at the Toronto circuit over the weekend of 10 July.
