Viacom sues Cablevision over iPad streaming

(Reuters) - Viacom Inc sued Cablevision Systems Corp to halt what it called the unauthorized streaming of its programing on devices such as Apple Inc's iPad.
The lawsuit was filed Thursday in Manhattan federal court, one day after court documents showed that Viacom and Time Warner Cable Inc are trying to settle similar litigation.
A Cablevision spokesman said the company expected to comment later Thursday on the latest Viacom lawsuit.
