GP2 – Bianchi takes “Silver” missing the win by a whisker
Nurburgring, 24 July – Jules Bianchi made it to the second step of the podium in this morning’s GP2 sprint race in Germany, the sixth round of the season. Having started from fifth, the French Lotus Art drivers made the most of the chaotic opening moments, to grab the lead right from the second lap. Bianchi then astutely managed his lead to within two minutes of the chequered flag, when a mistake handed the lead to Dams’s Romain Grosjean. Third was the Coloni team’s Luca Filippi.
The next round of the GP2 series takes place at the Hungaroring in Budapest next weekend, again in conjunction with Formula 1, this time the eleventh round of the Formula 1 World Championship.
