Fisichella guest of honour at the Ferrari Racing Days in Shanghai
Shanghai, 24 July –The Ferrari Racing Days event in Shanghai has been a great success, with two races in the Asia Pacific Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, as well as owners involved in the non-competitive F1 Clienti, FXX and 599XX programmes who tackled two untimed track sessions. Adding to the spectacle, over 200 Ferrari owners were able to try out the famous track at the wheel of their own cars. The highlight of the day for the crowd who packed the grandstands at the Shanghai circuit, was a demonstration run by Scuderia Ferrari’s Giancarlo Fisichella, at the wheel of the F2008, run on track by the F1 Clienti department of Maranello.
“Ferrari belongs to Ferraristi all over the world” said Edwin Fenech, president and CEO of Ferrari Greater China, at a press conference which opened this truly unique event. “The Ferrari Racing Days is not only a great platform for us to connect with our customers, fans and supporters; it is also a vivid demonstration of the brand’s rich racing heritage and unique brand DNAs”.
Visitors to the event also got the chance to admire an incredible exhibition, “The Dream of Ferrari in the Heart of China,” put on by Maranello’s Ferrari Museum, with some jewels of the past on show, including a 365 GTB4 Daytona, a Ferrari Testarossa, a 288 GTO and a Dino, alongside more modern machinery such as the California, the 458 Italia and the 599 GTB Fiorano.
