Vitaly, P9 in qualifying today - are you pleased with that?
VP: We’re confident we’ve taken a good step forward from Silverstone two weeks ago. We had various difficulties there and we knew that we needed to raise our game. I think it’s clear from the past two days that we can compete well here. I’m pleased to have qualified in ninth position on the grid tomorrow because it gives me a good opportunity to really be amongst the points. That said, it was difficult to find the right set-up today and warm the tyres in the cool conditions.
The team has brought some developments with it this weekend - how has the car worked for you?
VP: The team did a fantastic job and they gave me a fantastic car so I can’t complain! I’ve been pleased with what we’ve done over the past two days.
What are you expecting for the race tomorrow?
VP: Well, we can definitely score some good points. However, we know the weather forecast is different; it (the weather) has changed a lot over the last two days so you need to always adapt your driving style. But, whether it is wet or dry tomorrow, we will be ready.
