Our two boys had a trouble-free 90 minutes, with Jaime Alguersuari completing 23 laps on his way to twelfth fastest and Sébastien Buemi doing three laps less, ending up one place behind and around two tenths of a second slower than his team-mate.

Actually it was not that trouble free for our Swiss driver, as Seb appeared to be auditioning for the Red Bull Air Race, when he went flying over a kerb and beached his STR6 in the gravel, but it was near the end of the session, so not too much time was lost in the incident.

Fastest was the winner of the last Grand Prix in England a fortnight ago, Fernando Alonso, with Red Bull Racing duo of Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel next up in that order. Fourth was Felipe Massa in the second Ferrari followed by the McLaren pairing of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.
