COMING SOON: Previewed here in official teasers

SUBARU IMPREZA XV

After showing the concept model in Shanghai earlier this year, Subaru will take the wraps off the market-ready one in Frankfurt next month. The XV crossover is essentially a jacked-up Impreza _ like how the bigger Legacy spawned the Outback _ and will come with a 2.0 petrol engine. The Thai Subaru agent is keen with the XV, hoping it could snare some buyers from the Honda CR-V at under 1.5 million baht.

LEXUS GS

The fourth-generation GS from Lexus promises to look just as bold as the LF-Gh concept preceding it, especially with that gaping front grille and LED lights. The first version to be seen is the GS350 at next weekend's Pebble Beach car event in California. But the one coming to the Thai Motor Expo in December will be the GS250, sporting a smaller 2.5-litre V6 petrol engine to pull down the price in the 4 million baht range.

INFINITI JX

After the EX and FX five-seat crossovers, Infiniti will introduce the JX seven-seat variation alongside the GS's premiere in the US. The JX features the stylish C-pillars from the Essence concept car and will provide Nissan's upscale brand with an answer to the Mercedes-Benz R-class. Although Infiniti has already made inroads in Europe and several Asian markets, it has yet to come to Thailand to rival Toyota's Lexus nameplate.

HYUNDAI I30

Hyundai's wave of wavy-looking cars is set to continue into its all-new replacement of the C-segment hatchback. As seen here, the i30 five-door will inherit the "fluidity" design language already applied in the Sonata, Accent and Elantra. The i30 will be launched in Frankfurt next month aimed primarily at Europeans; the Elantra saloon stands a higher chance of coming to Thailand to rival the likes of the Toyota Corolla.
