3 QUESTIONS TO JEROME BEFORE INDIA
27 Oct 2011
Jerome, are you ready for the 1st Indian F1 GP of the history?
I cannot wait for this weekend. I am here in Delhi since Tuesday and this country looks amazing and the track will be very exciting. Like all the other drivers, I could only test the track on a simulator but it looks very interesting with very fast parts and slow turns. For the first time, all the drivers are in the same situation with a brand new track for everybody. It is a quite strange feeling and it will be a pleasure to get in the car Friday morning for the 1st free practice.
Have you recovered of you difficult GP in Korea?
Definitely I am ready to work hard this weekend and Korea is already far from here for me. It was not my best weekend for sure but those things happened and the positive point was the race even if the performance level was not perfect. In fact, it was important to find the right pace and settings during the race after two very difficult days. In summary, the race in Korea made me more confident for the next GP in India. This weekend is another weekend and I will give my best to achieve a very good performance for the team.
What did you do during your free weekend between Korea and India?
It was a very busy weekend and I had a lot of things to do in Belgium. On Saturday, I have been in Genk for the broadcasting of a Belgian television channel report about the new “F1 2011” I could test live against other players. Afterwards, I was very happy to meet some of my fans who won a contest organized by the same television channel. We have competed in 2 karting races and it was a very nice and original experience. It is good to be back in Belgium sometimes to meet the fans and it give you a real boost. The rest of that day was reserved for my main partner Soleco with another karting race and a football match start in Genk. I could meet all the workers and employees of this company. On Sunday, I had a touristic rally for charity reason where I could drive a very nice car… a McLaren Mercedes… (laugh…)… It is the truth… it was another awesome day with a lot of nice moments. After this long weekend, I was very happy to have a rest before flying to India on Tuesday.
