3 QUESTIONS TO JEROME BEFORE ABU DHABI

9 Nov 2011

Jerome, how do you feel before the Abu Dhabi GP and with all the rumours around your future?

I am very excited to drive in Abu Dhabi because it is one of my favourite tracks and the facility here is amazing. Driving with the fading light is also a very nice experience. One year ago, I had the tests during the rookie days and it is here that I could show I was ready to become a F1 driver. About the rumours, it is a part of the game and it is normal because it is the end of the season and we cannot avoid that the people talk a lot about next year. I just believe the official information given by the teams and my management is still working hard for the 2012 season.

Could you give us a feedback of your Indian GP?

First, it was an awesome experience to get to India and to be an actor of this first Indian GP. India is so unique and the people are so kind. You could see a lot of smiles even if a lot of Indians are very poor. They gave a real image of hope. About the race weekend, I had a difficult Friday and Saturday like in Korea. On Friday, I made a small mistake and I crashed the car but not too seriously. With this problem, I lost some time to manage the settings with this very special track. I was not happy with my qualifying session but the race was perfectly managed with the team. I think it was one of my best races and our strategy worked very well. It was a good thing to beat both HRT drivers and Jarno. I really enjoyed this new track and I hope to compete again there in F1.

What are your expectations for the last two GP of the season?

I really want to do my best to achieve two good results before the end of the season. I think I did a good job since the beginning of the season even if I know I can improve different things but it is only my first year in F1. The goal is always the same for me. I have to be the closest I can of Timo who is my reference and to fight hard for the best use of my car until the chequered flag. I know I am lucky to be a F1 driver and I want to give all I can until the last lap of the last race. Do not count on me to give up...
