New McLaren Group website launches


Launch coincides with opening of McLaren Production Centre

To coincide with the official opening of the McLaren Production Centre we have also launched a new group website at www.mcLaren.com.

The new site has information on and links to all the McLaren Group companies and will be the main source of group news, such as today’s event, which was attended by Prime Minister David Cameron.

Although Formula 1 has been, and always will be, the cornerstone of McLaren’s business, the group has expanded and its various companies are at the cutting edge of their respective businesses.

McLaren Automotive are currently delivering the first MP4-12Cs to customers. The MP4-12C is the first in a new range of McLarens to be built at the MPC and is the world’s most advanced high-performance sports car and by the end of 2012 there will be 35 dealerships globally.

McLaren Applied Technologies mines the rich seam of accumulated knowledge within the Group and uses it to work with third parties on a vast range of projects across performance, data and carbon fibre.

McLaren Electronic Systems, a winner of the Queen’s Award for Innovation, supplies the electronic control system for every Formula 1 car on the grid, is the sole provider of engine control units to the IndyCar series and from next year is the sole provider of control units for NASCAR.

Absolute Taste provides the catering not just for the MTC and for Vodafone McLaren Mercedesat every race on the F1 calendar, but also provide the highest standards of hospitality and contemporary cuisine to a variety of clients around the world.
